Servicemen Buried in the Elgin Area

Prior to May 29 1914
On May 29, 1914 the Elgin Daily News published on page nine a list of servicemen buried in Elgin area cemeteries that were to be honored the next day (Decoration Day). Their military units and sometimes their ranks were included on the list.

The list has been alphabetized by surname although the newspaper article separated the list by cemeteries. There may be printing errors and /or microfilm distortions, so one should check various spellings.
