Polish Research-using Metryki & Geneteka Databases

Ola Heska will be presenting “Polish Research – using Metryki and Geneteka databases”.   Ms. Heska will demonstrate a step-by-step instruction how to use the largest Polish genealogical databases. Geneteka contains over 28 million indexed records from various regions of Poland, created by volunteers and administered by the Polish Genealogical Society. Metryki is a database of over 5.5 million scans, mainly from the Mazowsze and Łódź area. Both are accessible without fees or logins.Learn how to make the most of these resources

Ola Heska received her M.A. in Russian Philology from Łódź University, Poland. She works as a genealogist and translator. For over 20 years, she has been researching her family roots. Fluent in Polish, Russian, and English, with some experience in Latin. She is currently a Board member of PGSA.
