Gail Borden Public Library is permitting no group meetings for the foreseeable future. In the meantime, EGS business meetings and program presentations will take place via Zoom.

Jason Kruski will be speaking on “Researching Prussian and Pomeranian Genealogy in Poland”. He will talk about the diversity of the Pomeranian people, from ethnic Polish,Germans and Swedish. Learn what records are available in both Eastern and Western Prussia and Pomerania that can be found in Poland.
Jason Kruski specializes in Polish-American genealogical research at all levels. He has delivered presentations about how to begin researching Polish American ancestry, advanced Polish-American genealogy, and technological advances in genealogy including DNA.
We will post log-in details when they become available; members will be notified of log-in details by email, and they will also available in the Program Description located in the Members Only section of the website. Welcome to EGS– Join us for a Monthly Meeting!
The Elgin Genealogical Society is for any person who has an interest in genealogy, research or history.
Meetings are held at the Gail Borden Public Library, 270 N. Grove Ave., Elgin, IL. on the first Tuesday of each month at 9:30 am and the third Thursday at 7:00 pm except in December when the date, time, and location of the annual meeting is announced. It is always best to check this website or call the library at 847-742-2411 to check if schedule changes have occurred.
You do not have to be a member to attend any of our meetings, but when you become a member of EGS, you will receive special access to our Members Only area on our website where you can find all presentation handouts, plus all of our past and present newsletters.
